How auto-continue chooses the next episode
When your queue ends, PolyPod picks a smart next episode so the listening never stops.
When your manual queue runs out, Auto-Continue can pick the next episode for you.
The logic
-
Same podcast first — PolyPod looks at the podcast you’re currently listening to and picks the next uncompleted episode, following your sort preference for that podcast (newest or oldest first).
-
Recent listening history — If there’s nothing left in the current podcast, it scans your listening history and picks an unplayed episode from a podcast you’ve been into recently.
Completed episodes and anything already in your queue are always skipped.
Where to see what’s coming
The Auto-Continue card at the bottom of the Up Next screen shows what will play when your manual queue finishes. You’ll also see a preview at the bottom of the full-screen player before the current episode ends.
Skip started episodes
You can go to Settings → Skip Started Episodes (only visible when Auto-Continue is on) to skip partially-played episodes in the auto-continue chain, so only fresh episodes are picked automatically. See Customizing playback settings for details.
